The website freeshrubsandplants.com offers free shrubs and plants to anyone who wants. The site employs disabled persons and helps find people for the many unused plants that go unsold and get thrown away each year.
The only flaw I see in this business plan is if the site becomes so popular that people stop buying the plants retail, only to see more plants go unsold throughout the season!?! Your thoughts below.

Verizons gone and totally redeemed themselves
Yesterday I had to decided to contact verizon using their online chat service. I had a very good experience and the woman that I chatted with was extremely helpful. I was able to upgrade my service to utilize their expanded hd lineup without having to go through any hassles and was able to keep the same price point. Good thing I contacted them!
I also got a 30 day free trial for their premium package and upgraded my set top boxes to utilize the multiple hi def tv's we purchased over the last year.
I heard on NPR over the last few days that cell service satisfaction is up this past year to it's highest levels of approval ever. Do you think that customer service is going up across the board? Is competition and the free market working like it's supposed to?

just wondering
are those paper recyclers not collecting from those bins you see everywhere because the market for recycled materials has fallen so drastically?
I have been visiting these recycling bins lately and noticed that all of them are pretty full. Not sure if this is because the price for recycled materials has gone down and therefore the people who collect can't afford to as often, or if it's just that people are recycling more and the recyclers can't keep up?
Your thoughts are welcome

Does anybody else
not use the 3rd star in a five star rating system? If Im indifferent about it I think I choose not to vote at all. Does this occur in other instances?

The most wonderful time
of the year yes it is yes it is, but it is also the most busiest. I am sorry I haven't had time to post in all most a month?!? Gracious where does the time go?
As we are getting ready to turn the page on another calendar year, a lot of us take time to reflect on the years past and not as many of us take this time to set goals for the upcoming year. I like to reflect and plan for the future.
In this past year I got to enjoy getting married, the birth of my son, adding a daughter to my family, moving into a new home and watching my favorite baseball team win the world series.
Though there were some bad times in 2008, we should all be looking forward to the hope that 2008 brings. It surely can not get better than 2008, and a lot looks bad, but we are going to hit the ground running and continue to move forth and progress and grow as people. Hoping all a safe and happy new year, and a Merry Christmas!

Parking Meters
I was thinking about how to improve parking meters today while listening to a radio program and it got me thinking.
Do cities make the majority of their meter revenues on the fines or the feedings. If you didn't have to pay the cops to walk around and ticket people, do you think more people would park there?
What do you think about a company that enables city dwellers who park at meters to sign up and either text or call a number tied to whatever meter they are at, or even picked up electronically via bluetooth, and they could have someone feed the meter, or better yet, tie the meter to someones account.
Are parking spaces in the city and the prices charged for them at the meters based on getting a certain number of people in and out of the city?
leave your thoughts in the comments.

Heroes
Wow that was a good episode of Heroes tonight. I missed the first 15 minutes, but from what I saw, woooo boy I am excited for next week. It was like season 1 all over again. Ohh wait, it was like season 1 all over again. More answers to questions was nice. Do you think we are going to get to see what was up with that guy who Peter was taking care of? One can only hope.

The only dissapointing thing about tonight was that I don't like everyone losing their powers. Do you think Seyler was with Mr. Petrelli? Is that why the black guy lost his head? Again I can not wait until next week.
